Oh, the drama!

To Kill a Hummingbird

Will a hummingbird obsession and a new neighbour drive a dysfunctional mother-son duo to murder? Or can Betty White save the day? “Fowl” play ensues in this iridescent laugh-out-loud comedy!

This play was incubated, written and hatched right here in Nanaimo by Darryl Knowles & me (DIM Productions).

You can catch To Kill A Hummingbird at the Nanaimo Fringe Festival August 13-23, 2015.

And keep up with production plans on our DIM Productions FB page!

Chicken in Mourning

My play was a 2013 finalist in Theatre BC's Playwrights Competition and March 19, 2014, 7.30pm heads for Nanaimo's Centre Stage as a pro-reading by TheatreOne. Chicken in Mourning features regional actors Matthew Coulson, Sarah Carlé, Adrian Hough, Jessica Lowry, Erin Ormond, directed by Nicolle Nattrass.

Imagine you're given the news that your body's only capable of six more orgasms. Mel has to decide what exactly to do about those last six big Os—while living with the challenges of progressive Multiple Sclerosis and singledom. Disease and desire are obnoxious bedfellows in this darkly humorous play. Chicken in Mourning is based on one of the novellas in Kim Clark’s fiction collection, Attemptations (Caitlin Press).

Here's lucky me with the cast of my Chicken in Mourning dramedy--Nicolle Nattrass (director), Jessica Lowry, Sarah Carle, Adrian Hough, Erin Ormond & Matthew Coulson.
